Alcoholic root beer is now a thing and is delicious!
It is a thing! I have some in my cupboard from when my mom was visiting, but I won't drink it because it's too sweet. Any Bay Area peeps want 3-4 cans of it, let me know.
My explanation was about how A&W should be considered a soda like Coke or Pepsi.
Mom ma~~Matt
and sorry Gudanov. it is hard.
and on the other subject
acholic ginger ale/beer with lemon sorbet is amazing.
Is it not?
That's how I've always seen it.
I think the point is that the word "beer" was confusing the non-Americans.
Mom~ma for Matt.
And all condolences for Thor.
I have encountered people napping in the lactation room at my (former) workplace twice. In both cases I wanted to use the lactation room for its designated purpose, and had to ask the napper to leave so I could do so. You can imagine how annoying this was. Especially since one of the nappers was somebody's 10 year old kid.

Ooh. OK, I would be willing to try that and see if it wins me over.
Sorry to hear about Thor, Gud.

Yeah. I ended up saying that it was just a weird American thing.
It reminds me of the time I was explaining tortilla chips to some Europeans in the late 90s. They thought it was some sort of breakfast cereal.
