Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Lack of sleep doesn't help anything.
HAHAHAHAH. Truer words were never spoken.
Some days you want to bite peoples' faces off and you have to smile instead. It's very stressful.
Yes, yes it is. I'm not that far away from homicide either. It'll just take that one person to tip me over the edge.
I'm gonna have a talk with my boss today about moving some work around.
I'm sorry you're at breaking point. Shifting work sounds like a fine idea.

I am glad we bagged on a 5K we were planning on doing at 7pm. Would have been fun, but this place does them every month.
50% of cataract patients develop scar tissue after their surgery, which affects their version. I think I'm definitely in that range. Fortunately, I have an eye appointment this Friday, so I think I have a ten-minute date with a laser in my near future.
Laser in the eye like it ain't no thang is the most metal thing ever.
Wow, Kat and msbelle both have busy schedules!
I mostly took yesterday to recover from last week's work madness. I mean, I got some stuff done, but quit two hours early. Today, more low key stuff (I hope), tomorrow back on a plane.
Am a little concerned because they finally scheduled my interview...for 8:15AM the day after I get back from a trip late at night. Boo. But it's been such a process to schedule that I don't think I can't ask to move it--especially since I'm on the west coast, so early stuff is hard
Installers are back. Jack is at doggie day care and the cats are confined to my room (no big hardship for them, it is their preferred hang out).
Today they are replacing the three downstairs windows at the front of the house and the patio door at the back. All three humans have decamped upstairs and I'm considering relocating to Starbucks. Too much work to do.
Once this is all done, I'll just have three windows left to replace - two in my room and the big one in the living room downstairs. Just need to find another $6.5k laying around.
We are officially bagging on the swim lesson, so I'm taking the kids for a walk by the beach later while Cody gets some work done from home, well my sister's home anyways.
I hate that feeling that I'm a failure and thst every choice, large or small, forces me to choose whether to disappoint this person or that one because I am the instrument through which life let's them down.
I'm so sorry, Maria. So hard to deal with stuff on so little sleep.
I feel like I should go to Nat'l Night Out because I in theory support building police/community interaction but that means going out nad I largely donwanna.
They didn't really do anything, Burrell, it's just that every single time I have tried to log in to their web site to see my account status since they "upgraded" I've gotten a "we're having technical difficulties, please try again later". I have had difficulty just getting information from them ever since they bought my loan. I feel pretty certain that that's intentional and they are probably overcharging me for something, but I can't get to my account info to check their numbers and the paper statements they send me do not have much info on them.
I got a notice that someone else is buying my loan, or taking it over somehow, so I am hopeful I will be able to get information better out of them. If I can find that notice again, which I couldn't do last night. That one's on me.
Some days you want to bite peoples' faces off and you have to smile instead.
Today is that day.
We are doing this giant shift in how things are done, and we've basically established that no one has any real grasp of change management, plus we have personality conflicts, plus we have cultural conflicts, plus we have to have meetings at 7 in the morning which is a ME CONFLICT.
