I kinda want to take a walk in this storm. Probably shouldn't, huh?
I got an alert on my phone when I was out this afternoon and didn't make it inside before that one hit. Got completely soaked, but given that it was 90 or 100 something just prior to the storm, I didn't mind that much since I didn't see any of the hail.
I was in CVS waiting out the hail this afternoon. There were enough branches on the sidewalks after that one to make every dog in Edgewater happy. Everyone gets a stick to carry!

My dad had a shed with power and AC. No plumbing, though. He was a rock hound and kept his specimens out there. It may have saved my parents' marriage.
Oh, UPS, why can't you make up your mind? You send me an email telling me my delivery has been rescheduled for tomorrow but update the website to say it is on the truck for delivery today. With the same timestamp.
Monday morning commute. It's been raining steadily for hours. One of these things is glorious. The other thing is going to have me taking the non-freeway route to work, because I live among morons.

-t, going way back to the sample sale: I'm looking for the smaller prep bowls that you would use for chopped vegetables, spices, herbs, etc. I've been using my soup bowls, and they're too big. Ramekin-sized sounds about right.
I had a productive weekend of sorts. I helped my FIL put up a huge sign for a new housing development, I mowed, I visited my recovering grandmother, and I built a nice sturdy bookshelf for my wife out of 3/4" solid pine so it won't bend under the weight of textbooks.
I also posted to my blog which hasn't happened in a long time.
It's about my attempt to find information on presidential candidate's stand on the issues from their websites.
I feel like I should send an email to the office that Wednesday is my last day here, but I don't really want to. Most of the people I'd go to a happy hour with are in Florida this week for an off-site I'm not going for obvious reasons.
