Wesley: I stabbed you. I should apologize for that. But I'm honestly not sure how. I think it'll just be awkward. Gunn: Good call. Wesley: Okay.

Painted samples for faux grate background. I am possibly insane. And feeling really antisocial, declining all bday invites. Barely managed to answer parents' call.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Which hotel, Teppy?

A Best Western by a mall. Surprisingly comfortable bed!

I AM SORRY I EVEN THOUGHT IT, I AM LITERALLY THE WORST.

Too soon? Ha, not for me. I laughed. I hope Middle Brother is accepting and FIL isn't regretting not going.

Ha! Middle Brother seems fine, and FiL is so happy to be at home.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Man, what have I done today? I picked up a hold book from the library and read a few chapters. I went for a 3-4 mile walk. I got groceries and barely managed not to be rude to the lady behind me who tried to insist the package of chicken was hers. Lady, did you think I wouldn't notice if the cashier rang up $10 worth of chicken If I didn't intend to buy it?!

I made zucchini, cauliflower, black bean, and fauxrizo burritos for dinner. I did a load of dishes. I've got the spare sheets in the wash now since my mom arrives on Wednesday. Oh, and I did some deep cleaning of the kitchen and bathroom because my mom arrives on Wednesday.

those burritos sound great!

I did agility class (The Boss did great, I'm so pleased!) and got my hair cut, and got my toenails done at a new salon (too expensive, but it was nice), and stopped at the store. Now I have the first batch of macarons in the oven. I tried to make them purple but didn't use enough food coloring, so they're not very interesting-looking. Oh, and I watched an episode of Wynonna Earp and now I'm watching an episode of Underground.

... holy cow, Aldis Hodge is cut. It is painful to look at him, it must be so hard to stay in condition looking like that.

... and now I'm listening to a How Stuff Works about something I know a great deal about, and I think I have to write in to correct them about some terminology.

Boy, do I live in a rockin' town or what? Apparently the supermarket is the place to be at 10:00 PM on a hot summer Saturday night. Which makes sense: air conditioning, tasty things to eat and drink, and a reason to be there other than to ogle everyone else. Though I felt sorry for the number of small kids that were still up.

I need to stop hiding at home after dark. Lots of people outing and abouting on a summer night, and I adore people watching.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I went to work for a couple of hours, cleaned the bathroom, took a nap because I kept nodding off trying to read FB (too many 14 hour work days), got two big bags of recyling in the car to take to the drop-off, washed dishes (which is daily, so not a big thing) watched two episodes of OitNB and did two loads of laundry. Tomorrow I need to drop off recycling and some donations, make a Target run, sweep (and probably mop), and dust before out of town guests arrive. I should try to work Pilates in there, too.

I...tried to wash the blue out of my hair but it is super stubborn. And then I went to the beauty supply store and bought lots of shit. And then grocery shopped, ran a tiny bit, and met a friend to play pool. And then met other friends to play more pool. And then we ended up at karaoke for many hours.

I'm not into Pokemon, but the new version sure seems to be getting people out and about, which is nice.
