It's my estimation that... every man ever got a statue made of him, was one kind of sumbitch or another.

I...tried to wash the blue out of my hair but it is super stubborn. And then I went to the beauty supply store and bought lots of shit. And then grocery shopped, ran a tiny bit, and met a friend to play pool. And then met other friends to play more pool. And then we ended up at karaoke for many hours.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I'm not into Pokemon, but the new version sure seems to be getting people out and about, which is nice.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I feel like my new hobby is going to have to be identifying the people playing Pokemon Go.

Our wings are not tired.

And feeling really antisocial, declining all bday invites.

Perhaps you should catch some Pokemon. I hear it gets you out and about.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The corporate security on my phone doesn't get along with Pokemon Go (for some reason, I can't give it permission to use my phone's location info, even though Maps and other apps work just fine), so I am unable to participate in our new national passtime. BOO.

Our wings are not tired.

I may let my son set it up on my phone so I can be one of the cool kids, but I have an older OS, so not sure.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Last night at Board Game two of the guys were catching Pokemon and insisting they weren't REALLY playing the game. Uh-huh. The library where we meet is Pokemon hotspot of some kind, apparently. I tried to download it but couldn't find it on Google Play, does it not work on Android?

After Board Game I got an invite to go watch MMA fighting at my friend's house with a few people. My instinct was to claim a headache and go home but I'm trying not to avoid, so I said yes. MMA fighting isn't my thing (though the two women who wrestled was my thing, as it turned out) and they didn't have the damn AC on wtf, but the hard ginger ale was good and the company was good, and I was the only one who picked the winner in every fight, haHA. One couple offered to put me on their "permanent list" so I can get into their stupid gated community without having to be called in every single time, which would be good, and hey, they wouldn't do that just to be nice, right? they must actually, like, like me. Right? Cue social anxiety. But it was all right. I dunno. People are okay, I guess, sometimes.

Go you with the socialization, Zen!

I'm in this constant loop of Needing to work all the time, while feeling that I also Need to do something like exercise, and Need to visit my family hours away, and Need to socialize with friends. And there just isn't time. So I work.
