Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Best thoughts to your mom, Sean.

I'm sorry for everyone having crappy days! I have just cooked a bunch of food out of my fridge and started phase one of elaborate 4th of July nails. After getting a pedicure and having some hammock time. I highly recommend vacation!!

I've never had this Polar Seltzer. If I ever see it in a store, I'll have to try it. Then I'll know whether I can trash talk Jesse's opinions.

It must be our local/regional brand, which I didn't quite realize. I look forward to talking trash!!

It's funny, I've been mildly resentful for years about the fact that not once since I got here in 2007 have I been called out and recognized at an all hands meeting, despite doing what I think is pretty good work (and occasionally great work). So now I'm finally getting recognized, and I'm grumpy because it won't be a surprise! Can't be pleased, I guess.

Oh man, the flour??

I'm glad you're getting recognized, Consuela, even if you have to do some of the work.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

~ma to your mother, Sean.

Gary's dad and stepmom took care of the little guy today (including bringing him to the pediatrician, who said he probably has a virus) so Gary and I could take care of work and other commitments.

Got a prescription for eyeglasses today. (I'm mildly near-sighted) When I will get a chance to fill it, I don't know.

Screw it, I never buy bleached flour. I'm going to continue to eat the occasional spoonful of cookie dough.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I'll take my chances.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Seriously, if I haven't gotten sick already...

OK, it's traced back to a specific batch of flour that's contaminated. Buy new flour to make your raw dough!

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

question for the swimmers. I am going to try to get myself going to a nearby gym with a pool. I'd like to swim to see if I can semi-zone out with that in a way that I can't seem to with running (too much bouncing and jiggling). I can swim fine, but have never swam/swum laps. I expect to be winded quickly and be very slow. Like I may only make it 1-2 laps (the lanes are 25 yards).

My hope if I can get myself up and get there early is that I will have a lane to myself, but if I have to share a lane, what is the least annoying way for me to be a lane sharer? My guess was to identify the slowest swimmer and start a lap when they are at the other end so we pass in the middle - hug the lane divider and generally try to be as small as possible.
