You like ships. You don't seem to be looking at the destinations. What you care about is the ships, and mine's the nicest.

Well I don't what was said, but I was not called back and he is PISSED. Would not get in car with me, is walking home. I stopped for him once and he refused to get in, so he is on his own. Heat index of 102, stupid day to be stubborn.

Btw, nothing has changed from last week when he did the shit and seemed upset at the new world order, but you know, ok. This week? Totally pissed that things are the same. His brain just does not process information he does not want to be true.

Nothing like a midday 5K in Texas to show how mad you are.

Yep. My instinct is to get a giant glass of ice water and go get him, but we've done this dance a few too many times.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Ugh. Msbelle. I'm sorry that things aren't good today. Maybe the walk home will help him.

I do if he will open the freezer to look, but he tends not to look for things.

IAmNotAParent, but some boys just need to be very physical to get their brains to function properly. I've seen late teens/early 20s young men have to pick up a practice sword and whale on a target before they can think clearly. I saw Hubby hand a young man a sword and point him at a target, or a hammer and point him to a piece of metal that's being made into armor. Unfortunately, violent activity that involves hitting things is frowned on by many people. We had one young man show up to learn how to do SCA stuff and had an aptitude for the fighting and started showing real eagerness to learn the history, and it was helping distract him from his anger and restlessness. But his mother decided she didn't like him fighting in any form and pulled him out. It was sad.
