Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
shopping done. 2 very exciting non-cotton, elastic waist ALSO with drawstring, black shorts.
then 2 pairs of non-compression exercise pants for me, a dry fit shirt, a 5 lb kettleball, and these shoes [link] which are totally boring looking, but feel like walking on little clouds of comfort.
Wow, Anne, how was that? Extra exhausting or did it add to the fun?
I went and ran for the first time since last week's 10k (which was the first time in two months). My NONbroken foot is still hurting though. Grr. And then I got home and found a $234 speed camera ticket for going 26 in a 20. Holy CRAP that's a lot of money. I can afford it but I know a lot of folks who that would fuck up their life pretty hard for a while. I mean, what happened to like $50??
It was a huge amount of fun, meara, but I am Wiped. Out.
Okay, really hot turned into crazy thunderstorm, wind, and hail. Power was out for about half an hour. All quiet now.
Wow, Anne, that sounds fun!
meara, yikes! That's a lot of money for not a lot over the limit, it sounds like to me.
Cooked out with the neighbors, which was really nice, but I ate too many chips. Unsurprisingly.
Spent all afternoon priming the ceiling. Man, sheetrock and plaster are thirsty. About to start on the second coat, with regular paint.
Swim was weird. And fucking slow, but nothing felt quite right, shocker. I cut it down to 1.5 miles rather than my usual two and kept stopping to stretch because things kept knotting up. It helped though. But definitely worst time in a very long time.
...aaaand I started to post this at 6:30, so 3 hrs ago. Just finished painting and cleanup.
I can't make up my mind what I want to do vs what I should save my energy for, etc. things where I know I'd enjoy it, but it takes so much effort to get there..
After chilling most of the day with the kitten, and then running, met a friend for beer and food truck and board games. Now it's 845. I'm getting frozen custard. Do I go dance after this? Or save myself for tomorrow? If I go home I'll feel a little pathetic being home on a Saturday night but my foot hurts so maybe dancing isn't a good plan
Anne, that looks like a blast! I wish there was one nearby.
I ran a hella slow loop in the hills this morning, then made some pie crust (prep for Father's Day peach pie). Then went out for cheese and wine. Why am I so tired?
Also, I went to the dentist just a few weeks ago, but I think I need to go back, I'm having a suspicious soreness on the left side of my mouth when I bite down. Bleargh.
