Yesterday at the grocery store I was buying ice cream and saw a new flavor: almond poppyseed. I love almonds, and like poppy seeds in sweet things, so though that sounded like it could be really neat. A grown up sort of flavor. Sadly, no. The almond doesn't really taste like anything and the poppy seeds are fine but not enough. Boo--now I have almost a full pint of ice cream I don't want. Do I throw it out? Quickly find a recipe I can use it in to bring to a BBQ?? No idea. Sadness!!

Anyone else immediately think, "Eat a muffin, whitey!"?
An almond poppyseed muffin probably would've been much tastier!
Oddly, i do not like poppy seeds on savory things like bagels or bread. Or maybe it's in things vs on the outside of things?
Maybe add amaretto?
Do poppy seeds even have a taste?
Connie, I can't see the pic (sold out?) but I will always vote yes to PURPLE.
That's a lovely dress, Connie!
I'd probably mix some vanilla extract in the ice cream to up the flavor, and then I'd serve it on top of homemade brownies.
From 5-7, I seriously thought about going to the pool. But in the end, actually getting out of bed proved a hurdle too great.
Have to dry my hair and put away electronics, but then I'll be packed. Should rouse my driver/ fellow traveler, unless the cats have already managed that...

Dreams and melancholy. Goes well with lemon.
So all week long I've been struggling to get up with my alarm in time to make it to work, and today when I could sleep in it woke me ALL the way up at 7 and I've been doing laundry and feeding the cats. This is why we can't have nice things, brain.
That happened to me, too!
