99 degrees on Thursday. 76 degrees on Saturday. It snowed in the mountains two weeks ago. If I win the lottery, I'm moving to a temperate zone.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

People really do not know what to do when the answer to "Oh. New project? What are you knitting?" is "A rabbit."

Right now, It's the rabbit's butt, minus tail, so it does kind of look like a hat. But I haven't knit a hat this boring in years.

Actually, the answer is "Three rabbits. Two will be puppets. Two will be scary-looking. With big pointy teeth." But, at that point, they either Get It or they think I'm Not Well.

It continues to be very strange to me when people are 100% unfamiliar with Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I love, love, love rhubarb. My DH and daughter don't. They are weird and all the rhubarb is MINE. It is frustrating to live in a place where it won't grow.

Does anyone have a Nissan Leaf here? My DH and I are contemplating spending money.

Oh, dear. I've eaten half my yogurt and just noticed there's something blue growing on it. At least it's the opposite end from what I've eaten? Ick.

My sister has a Leaf, and they really like it. The only problem is the range, and the size: it's not the car of choice for a roadtrip.

Chevy has the Bolt coming out soon. It's supposed to have double the range. Tesla's Model 3 looks incredible, but it'll take years and years for them to build enough for the pre-orders.

My dad has a Leaf and loves it. But he can also easily afford to rent a car if they want to go outside of its range without stopping at charging stations. If they really want a Leaf or to wait for the Bolt, have them check out available charging stations.

We are looking at it for the around town driving we do. The state and federal rebates and tax breaks make it under 20K, and I test drove it yesterday and didn't have a problem with it.

We definitely can't wait for a Model 3, but might wait to see the Bolt. I wish I could find one to sit in since if I'm not comfortable in the driver's seat, it's easy to eliminate (I am under 5' tall, for those who haven't met me in person).

Instead of going to work tomorrow, I would like to not go to work and just watch TV all day instead.

I almost did this because my sinuses are a mess, and then I remembered that I have too many meetings today. I blew off my first meeting so I could take migraine meds and go back to bed for a while. My grump is infinite.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Instead of doing my work, I am thinking about activities to do on my staycation. I think one day I'll take the train to Old Orchard Beach in Maine, where I can walk down to the part of the beach I used to go to at summer camp and get a raspberry lime rickey. Maybe a float? I was kind of into it the one time I did it, and it seems sufficiently outside of my normal life, but maybe I should be looking for cheaper ways to spend my time.
