I don't know to deal with the Trump thing, either. I'm refusing to discuss it with, say, my dad, because never speaking to him again if he votes for Trump isn't an option.
Natter 74: Ready or Not
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
With Trump it's just... you know... I mean c'mon. If I was running an ad campaign against him I'd think it would just be that, a video clip of him saying something stupid followed by a graphic of 'C'mon. Really?'
I'm a Bernie supporter, but I hate seeing his supporters get nasty. I don't it when anyone from my various tribes is a dick. It doesn't help.
The tue/thur/sun lifeguard, the elder of the crew, listens to NPR on shift. We've cry-laughed over how we really never thought we'd hear so much Trump on NPR, ever.
Chatting with him today, found out he's the recruiting power behind the influx of guards, male and female, who are Muslim. This is a 'spare' job for him for fun money, free y membership and to keep his toe in the swim world, as his job with the city interfered with coaching in the schools. A lot of the newbies are his former students from when he coached and he recruited many kids in his mosque into the school swim program. He encouraged them to get certified, etc. It makes me happy my Y is so inclusionary that no one blinks an eye. As it should be.
I just listened to a thing on NPR about PA voters and a guy who phone banked for Clinton in 2008 is now supporting Trump. He still says he really likes Clinton as a person. Total dissonance with me, I cannot grasp it.
Yeah, that one hurt my brain.
Unrelated to anything y'all are talking about: I feel like Hulu should know how far behind I am on Empire and not show me ads for the season finale that reveal shocking developments I haven't seen yet. What's the point of all these corporations knowing everything I do and buy and say otherwise?
Oh my beloveds. I can't even manage to keep up here so I can't add Tumblr time to my schedule.
I keep up on Tumblr by having traded it entirely for FB. I think it keeps me slightly less full of rage.
Edited to add: even with filters and stuff, FB just drives me up a wall.
What's the point of all these corporations knowing everything I do and buy and say otherwise?
An excellent question! That's annoying.
Tumblr makes me feel stupid. I can't figure out how it works at all.
Tumblr makes me feel stupid.
I actually think the reblog-to-reply-to-a-post thing is cumbersome and weird as hell and doesn't feel like a conversation. I mostly use Tumblr to reblog things I like, and occasionally post things.
You can use my Tumblr reblogs to track what I'm doing/have recently done, though, like "She just saw Deadpool...Elementary must have just aired...and now she's reading about anxiety."
