Wow. A reporter asked the prosecutor if the officer was going to turn himself in, and the prosecutor said "We have officers out to arrest him. I'm treating him like a murderer."

WTF, Mac!

Wow to the indictment. Let's hope the video being as damning as it seems like it must be will lead to a swift conviction.

And even more than that, that this will be the beginning of the end of all these damn unjustified shootings, or at least a significant reduction. I hope very hard. Though I fear that the shooters are not so much thinking they won't get caught as truly believing that they are right, which scares me more.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

And now police are going door to door in the neighborhood where UC is located, advising residents to leave. WHAT THE HELL.

Whoa. (I just woke up. Catching up now.)

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Sounds like they've actually got a prosecutor, unlike on the Mke Brown deal.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am reminded of the hats I wore every day in the winter....as far as the corner of my street. It is not that hard to get over on your parents!

I used to cheerfully take the lunches my mother made me, which generally consisted of jerky and other prepackaged food, and then trade them for other kids' sandwiches.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

My god. Glad he was indicted, but damn. Damn.

Going back to the far less exciting change your name/change your email conversation - can't they let someone have two email addresses and make the new one the default? We already kind of have two listed if you look someone up in Contacts - FirstNameLastInitial@Company.com and FirstNameLastInitial@apps.Company.com, so why not FirstNameNewLastInitial@Company.com also?

The ERP username, maybe they can't change, but that's harder to decipher anyway and if it was linked to the new email address it would be less confusing.

I mean, we have so many Jennifers, if you can't tell which one you are talking about by last initial/name (some of them get full names in their email addresses because they share initials) it really can be a mess sending stuff to the wrong people.

Our prosecutor is actually a total asshole. I think he's spinning the indictment hard to place all blame on this one rogue cop to prevent rioting. Which I think is actually the truth, in this case, but I have no faith in the fundamental honesty of Deters. What's expedient just happened to be true, this time.
