Man, have I ever got the Sunday Night Didn't Accomplish Everything I Wanted To This Weekend Why Do I Have To Go To Work Tomorrow blues.

And the B-side, Oh Fuck Why Is This Week Of All Weeks So Busy.
I know both of those songs!
a guy waiting with his baby girl for the car to be brought around broke out singing Purple Rain and a waiting cabbie joined in
Awww!
Speaking of contingents of cop cars, apparently Bill Clinton was in town Saturday morning, just two blocks from the bakery. No fanfare at all.
On the other hand, Trump is speaking at the university tomorrow (I guess it was the biggest venue?) at 4 p.m. and traffic is predicted to be a big old nightmare. Right before rush hour. Ugh.

Yup.
On the other hand I have ice cream.
Spent the weekend mostly mainlining Steven Universe, while I recover from vertigo.
I went to the grocery store about 2:30 and the streets were weirdly quiet -- I realized it was because the Warriors game was on.
Luckily, I didn't want to accomplish much this weekend. Today was pretty much shot to hell with visiting a family friend in the hospital. (Plus the regular stuff.)
We gave the cat Slinky a bath, and it was surprisingly trauma-free. Though she is righteously pissed right now. And Toke keeps sniffing the air in Slinky's general direction, like "What is this weird 'clean' smell? Why don't you smell like funky foot cheese?"

Sing it, sisters!
This upcoming week is stupid busy for me. Isaac's b-day, his school play, Franny's state testing starts (which means minimum days for some reason), my last week of the semester, massive grading and office hours, and a rash of relatives in town: Cody's uncle, his father, and my sister all are coming for various reasons. I love them all, but I might cry.
I took my mom out to the public library's craft fair for lunch yesterday, where we ran into a couple friends of mine and the parents of one of my oldest friends from HS. Bought each of us a scenic vacation photography magnetic bookmark and a Captain America refrigerator magnet for me.
Then today was dinner at the parents' house, for the special occasion of fried okra.
I went to kitten class and there were NO KITTENS! It was a travesty, I tell you.
Then I stopped at target and went to the boba tea place next to target, which was delicious...until I tried to work out. And now the boba tea is trying to crawl up my throat. Ewww.
