We gave the cat Slinky a bath, and it was surprisingly trauma-free. Though she is righteously pissed right now. And Toke keeps sniffing the air in Slinky's general direction, like "What is this weird 'clean' smell? Why don't you smell like funky foot cheese?"

Man, have I ever got the Sunday Night Didn't Accomplish Everything I Wanted To This Weekend Why Do I Have To Go To Work Tomorrow blues.
And the B-side, Oh Fuck Why Is This Week Of All Weeks So Busy.
Sing it, sisters!
This upcoming week is stupid busy for me. Isaac's b-day, his school play, Franny's state testing starts (which means minimum days for some reason), my last week of the semester, massive grading and office hours, and a rash of relatives in town: Cody's uncle, his father, and my sister all are coming for various reasons. I love them all, but I might cry.
I took my mom out to the public library's craft fair for lunch yesterday, where we ran into a couple friends of mine and the parents of one of my oldest friends from HS. Bought each of us a scenic vacation photography magnetic bookmark and a Captain America refrigerator magnet for me.
Then today was dinner at the parents' house, for the special occasion of fried okra.
I went to kitten class and there were NO KITTENS! It was a travesty, I tell you.
Then I stopped at target and went to the boba tea place next to target, which was delicious...until I tried to work out. And now the boba tea is trying to crawl up my throat. Ewww.
I went to kitten class and there were NO KITTENS!
False advertising!
Shocking, meara!
I definitely hate everyone today.
I decided to work from home. Usual Monday not wanting to get out of bed + could not find my badge +time spent fruitlessly looking for my badge ate up the time I would normally spend eating breakfast and taking a shower + fuck this anyway = working from home.
Which so far has me not hating everyone, so that's nice.
I don't hate everyone (yet), but I do have a definite extreme "unhappy with" going on for one person.
I have so much to do today. Shoot, this week. Saturday is our big Good Ol' Fashioned Hoedown at the stables. I'm in charge of the volunteer check in table - we are expecting at least 200 volunteers, some are our regulars and some are friends of friends. Work is going to be easy (I just jinxed myself, didn't I), in comparison to the other stuff I have to do in prep for Saturday.
Hey, found my badge. In a place I had looked twice before, of course. SO theoretically I could go into the office late. Practically, however, I still haven't showered and I'm going to do some work before I do, so probably not leaving the house.
