I wasn't going to do the Captain America marathon, because it's during our second-busiest time of the year, but I just had my performance review today, and it devolved into my boss and I talking about how much we love Cap, and then I said my neighbors were going to the marathon. So she said that I should go, and that she'd cover for me that day. So I am!
I will probably nap and/or cut out for food and circulation breaks during Avengers and AoU.
Woo, amyth!
I guess if your wig is big enough, it doesn't matter?
True in so many situations.
I had such a good time at the LOTR marathon, but I think 14 hours might be too much for me.
I did the Marvel Movie Marathon before the first Avengers movie. It was a lot of fun, and awesome to be able to see the through-lines of the stories. But after 14 hours, I was so punchy when we left, I couldn't find my truck in the parking structure and had to have my friend find it for me (turns out I went down the correct ramp, but turned the wrong direction at the bottom of it). Plus, sore. Plus, 2 vacation days, 'cuz no way I was going to make it into work that Friday.
So I'm tempted to do it again, but leery.
I don't think I could do a movie marathon in a theater. I need to be able to stand up and move around more easily than that.

Plus there's that annoying requirement of clothes. I like being comfy when I watch movies.
I haven't seen any of these movies y'all are talking about. :)
Jesse, I find that super depressing about the resume. I would worry that the person is super out of touch--like, one of those "oh I'm not good with computers" people. I had to deal with a "I'm not good at excel" woman earlier this year and was just boggled. Like, I wasn't asking her to do anything other than sort or filter. This is not a new program. Wtf.
I mean, good god, there will NEVER be double-blind randomized clinical trials of vaccinated vs unvaccinated children, and you know why? IT'S FUCKING UNETHICAL.
There are trials though! I was on one testing a meningitis vaccine. It was looking not only at "did kids then get meningitis" (kids under 1 year are the next highest population after young adults) but it was also looking at "if they got the meningitis vaccine along with the usual recommended vaccines was there more reactions". We had a hard time enrolling in Oregon because no one was willing to do the usual recommended vaccines in the order you're supposed to!!
Timelies all!
Dunno if there's a Captain America marathon planned near me, but it's not really an option for us. If we're lucky, we'll get to see Civil War on the weekend it opens. (Thank goodness for grandparents who want to babysit the little guy.)
I went and double-checked the marathon cost - $48. I'm pretty sure the Marvel Movie one was more like $35, and was more movies, so I think I'm sticking to a DVD rewatch.
I have run out of contact lenses, so I finally just picked an optometrist near my apartment and scheduled an appointment for Saturday.
I've been failing at sleep all week, so I'm going to bed super early tonight and not planning to get to work particularly early tomorrow.
