Willow: Something evil-crashed to earth in this. Then it broke out and slithered away to do badness. Giles: Well, in all fairness, we don't really know about the "slithered" part. Anya: No, no, I'm sure it frisked about like a fluffy lamb.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I took today off (convention recuperation day), but I have still adulted, because I wrote the first draft of an incredibly difficult email to someone. And I may drag myself off the couch and go unearth the floor in front of my wardrobe in the bedroom. (It's currently hidden under skirts and petticoats.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

One more hour. Everything I need to do waits on other people. It's stupid hard to keep my eyes open - I slept really badly last night and have been resisting ingesting caffeine in the hope that I will sleep soundly tonight.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Back home. Tired.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can't watch that clip of the student being beaten. It keeps showing up in my feed, and I can't scroll fast enough to not see it.

I was waiting for 4 responses on 4 different things. One of them came through. Ah well.

Oh god, I think Pumpkin is gonna have to wear the cone again. She's licked a bald spot on her front leg. Given all the dust and crap, I'm not too surprised. Gonna give it a try overnight to break the cycle.

We hate the cone. It is Sad Pumpkin.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Is anyone else watching The Family? The last episode was amazing... like Out Of Gas level storytelling.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm not. It didn't look that interesting in previews, but the reviews I've read have been excellent. Maybe I'll mainline it after the season airs.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

OK, this is probably going to sound wrong, but: sometimes I'm glad to be single because it means I have to take care of everything myself. My mother's cousin is spending the night (because they have an early flight in the morning and she lives in Rhode Island), and her husband printed out her boarding pass for her! Meanwhile, my mother (married, but you know) is pulling hers up on her phone. My mother, the technophobe!
