Discussion of all Marvel Cinematic Universe related movies and TV shows, including, but not limited to, the Avengers, Captain America, Agent Carter, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil, Spider-Man, Ant-Man, etc., etc., etc. ad-infinitum.
Discussion of non-MCU Marvel titles like the X-Men or the Fantastic Four is also permitted. Ties to comics may be discussed, but this is not the primary forum for comics discussion (see the Other Media thread).

I was meh on the final episode of Loki was a lot of exposition monologue. A LOT. I was glad that it wasn't non-stop CGI fighting, but if the big reveal is
"Surprise! S2! Which means we're going to kinda-sorta wrap up one plot point but nothing else!"
then it didn't do its job.
Yeah yeah I know,
setting up a whole bunch of next wave MCU things.
That's not a good enough reason.
Weirdly, Mr. Loomy really liked the final ep. But he is a huge fan of
convoluted plot twists that keep going
.
But if
S2 is non-stop Loki having existential crisis and and "A crocodile?!" sorts of things,
I would be happy. I don't particularly care about
action omg timeline chaos the end of everything!
I just want
flummoxed and out of his depth
Loki.
The one thing I keep thinking is that when
Loki pops up at the TVA and tells Mobius and that hunter whose name I can't remember because it's just a letter and a number that the guy he saw at the end of time is terrifying my first thought was "he is?"
I was also surprised back when
Mobius called Loki a bad friend because I didn't think they were friends yet
so maybe I am just not watching right or something
Here's an interesting article about the retro set design of the TVA: [link]
I want to get some sort of short film or piece about crocodile Loki. Or Crocodile Loki and Kid Loki.
t, I had those exact reactions as well. I felt like there were several emotional beats in this show that were just kind of skipped, and then referred to afterwards as if they had actually happened.
Oh, that’s a good way of putting it, Jess! And I’m glad it’s not just me
Crocodile Loki and Kid Loki.
I would watch the hell out of a Croki and The Kid cartoon series.
I watch the Marvel stuff with a couple of friends, one of whom is seriously into the comics. She also reads up on future Marvel movie plans. She’s been saying,
“Kang, Kang, totally Kang,” since episode one.
Which isn’t to say that they couldn’t have foreshadowed it better for people who aren’t hardcore, multimodal fans. But apparently they didn’t pull the ending entirely out of their nether regions.
I’m willing to listen to Hiddles read my car’s maintenance handbook (who has phone books anymore?), so a finalé that was exposition-heavy was fine with me. The whole
“We’re here to pimp S2 and set up the next Dr. Strange and Ant Man movies, ”
(if the titles are anything to go by) is less fun, but I made my peace with that kind of shenanigans after Captain America 1.
My local Ren Faire is doing a Loki Day later this month: [link]
A truly unique variant of a day.
Lokis assemble! Bristol needs your help to capture photos of the numerous variants throughout the Faire on your Instagram Story (be sure to tag the Bristol Renaissance Faire so we can share them) – and we’ll select a random winner to receive return tickets to the Faire!
Today only – don’t miss Loki’s Lifeline – a delicious new cocktail – while supplies last.
What If...?
episode 1 is available on Disney+ now.
