Tep, me too, and I would have LOVED that outcome.

Yes, Tep!
HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES"
Bwahahaha and no, them apples are sour and wormy, do not want
I figured, with the whole castle at the end of time thing, that it HAD to be Immortus/Kang behind the TVA. But man did they find a blah way to go about that reveal and the end of the season.
I feel like this ep was punishment for all the fans who ever complained about ever Marvel series ending with a CGI lightshow battle.
Ha! Yesterday morning, my cousin texted me that she had already seen negative things about the finale, and my response was literally "I wasn't that big on the WandaVision finale, or the end of Black Widow for that matter! So I won't be surprised if they end with a huge fight for no good reason"
I didn't mind the ending.
The AVClub did a good job rounding up the issues though: [link]
(tl;dr: Pivoted too hard away from Mobius/Loki; didn't set up Loki/Sylvie enough; Why was Sylvie a master planner acting impetuously at the end; didn't set up the reveal; not satisfying for a single season finale, but fine for a mid-story cliffhanger...)
I see TVA and think Tennessee Valley Authority/Agency ... but then it took me a while to not automatically think BLM was Bureau of Land Management. sigh ... bureaucracy ....
Me too, Toddson!
I honestly thought Loki (the series but also I guess the character) has been lacking in shenanigans and mischief all season, I don't know that I have *more* to complain about wrt to the finale it's just now I know there won't be shenanigans coming as I always kind of hoped previously?
I was meh on the final episode of Loki was a lot of exposition monologue. A LOT. I was glad that it wasn't non-stop CGI fighting, but if the big reveal is "Surprise! S2! Which means we're going to kinda-sorta wrap up one plot point but nothing else!" then it didn't do its job.
Yeah yeah I know, setting up a whole bunch of next wave MCU things. That's not a good enough reason.
Weirdly, Mr. Loomy really liked the final ep. But he is a huge fan of convoluted plot twists that keep going .
But if S2 is non-stop Loki having existential crisis and and "A crocodile?!" sorts of things, I would be happy. I don't particularly care about action omg timeline chaos the end of everything! I just want flummoxed and out of his depth Loki.
The one thing I keep thinking is that when Loki pops up at the TVA and tells Mobius and that hunter whose name I can't remember because it's just a letter and a number that the guy he saw at the end of time is terrifying my first thought was "he is?" I was also surprised back when Mobius called Loki a bad friend because I didn't think they were friends yet so maybe I am just not watching right or something
Here's an interesting article about the retro set design of the TVA: [link]
