Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I'm sure he planned it out to the last detail. Because that's what I'd do, and he's at least as smart as me. I bet he'd been thinking about it at least since he saw Peggy .

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think losing both Natasha and Tony played a role in the decision, too. He may have still done it if Tony had lived, but I don't think he'd have done it if Natasha had. (Of the OG Avengers, she was the one he was closest to and the one who he'd have felt an obligation towards.)

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

America's ass.

Oh yeah.

I'm very glad to have all of you here to answer my questions before I even ask them. And I'm not sure there are words to express how much I love that it ended with Steve and Peggy.

HOW DO I GET Dear Mr Fantasy out of my fucking head? CHRIST WEPT. But, man, that segue into Tony and Nebula (MY CYBORG BB!) passing the time on the ship. Those little moments of mutual kindness... SO MANY LITTLE MOMENTS showing everyone's humanity. God.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I forgot to mention this: during the support group scene, I thought for about 15 seconds -- for real -- that it was a support group for LGBTQ+ folx, and we were about to get confirmation of Steve Rogers, Disaster Bi. No lie, I really thought they were going to go there. But only for 15 seconds.

Steph, I thought that too! For about 15 amazing seconds.

Oh, hey, I just realized that Eddie Brock is the first onscreen Marvel pansexual.

Oh! Tep! Paul said that he somehow went into Endgame thinking Venom was going to be in it. Then I had to explain why I found that so hilarious.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

The local NOLA paper has an article about how a black kid from New Orleans is now Captain America.

In addition to that, and in addition to the chance to become a role model for countless children, there's an added bonus for him. As a vocal and longtime fan of the New Orleans Saints, he can move past a certain bit of cruel irony. He no longer has to pretend to like being a Falcon.

In the bargain, all of the Who Dat Nation can also now brag of something no other NFL team can: The Saints are Captain America's Team.
