Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

We saw Civil War again tonight, and here is my 100%, you-cannot-convince-me-otherwise headcanon: Dean Pelton got a job at MIT. God bless the Russos.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Steph, agreed.

I don't know how I missed it the first time (I mean, obviously I didn't miss Jim Rash, but I just didn't take that extra step.)

Also in the movie but unrelated to my previous point: what kind of monster sends a text message to tell Steve that Peggy died? Yeah, I can tell from the number on his phone that it was from the UK (it started with +44), so maybe a call wasn't the most practical, BUT STILL. The hell, man?

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

what kind of monster

Ha. My mom sent a fucking group text when my grandfather died: "Dada is gone." I was glad my little sister had actually called me before and broke the news to me personally BEFORE I had it done via text.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Well, Peggy had been declining for a movie or two now, so possibly the text was from a relative who'd been sitting by her bed for her final days/weeks/months and knew that the many people Peggy had touched should know before they saw it on the news, but didn't have the spoons or ability to call them all individually or trust a phone tree to get it done before CNN called Steve for a sound bite.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

I like that interpretation, Calli.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Finally saw Civil War today.

Overall, I was really satisfied with the movie. I don't think anyone really got short shrift and they did a fantastic job of introducing us to T'chala and their version of Spider-man (and holy crap am I looking forward to Marvel's Spider-man movie. Strangely young and hot Aunt May aside, I was sitting there the entire time he was on the screen going "That's my Spidey!".)

I assumed the stuff Bucky took from the Stark's car was the Super Soldier serum. They said in TFA it would take decades to re-create the serum. 45ish years later sounds about right.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Aunt May is only surprisingly young and hot for Aunt May, not for the aunt of a current-day teenager, really.

True. And that's pretty much what I meant. I know Ben and May have historically been portrayed as much older than one would expect, given Peter's age.

On another note, regarding what Steve knew about the death of the Starks, I could have sworn he said something along the lines of "Yes, but I didn't know it was him."
