Consensus seems to be that it wasn't an outright lie, but he knew that Bucky had been involved in lots of stuff like that, and just didn't want to think about it.

Also, women used to look a lot older a lot younger. Which I know from my extensive watching of old game shows!

Also, Aunt May may have been several years younger than her brother/sister who was Peter's parent.

I have a romance novel from the late '70s where the 35-year-old heroine is bemoaning her middle-aged frumpiness.

Again, I didn't mean "There's not way she could be his aunt!" but rather she's much younger than Aunt May has traditionally been presented as. My youngest aunt is only 13 years older than I am, and one of my cousins has an uncle who is the same age as him. Family dynamics allow for a lot of variables.

Okay. I apparently missed that line. Put me on the side of those that believe Steve would never have lied intentionally. Though it's entirely possible he suspected but didn't want to believe it.

I think it's more a matter of suspected and didn't go looking for confirmation.

When it comes to Bucky, I can see Steve very guiltily performing a lie of omission. Because it's not like it's a question that should ever come up.

After seeing Civil War a second time, and a conversation the other day, a couple of things:

- If we (in general) had gotten more excited about Wasp at the end of Ant-Man, do you think we could have gotten a little better gender ratio into this one?

- What's up with Vision's look? It's... a lot. I don't think his cape even goes with the rest of him!

- And I realize I'm so defensive about Aunt May not being surprisingly hot because Tony goes on and on about it.

Well, his comic book look is pretty terrible. I imagine they were trying to modernize him while still calling back the comic imagery. I agree his cape looks a little weird, though I don't think he'd look "right" without it, either.

One thing I noticed watching the movie, which never really clicked with me before, until I saw it mentioned somewhere, about how spider-like Natasha's fighting style is. She's constantly jumping and moving around on her opponent's bodies. (And apparently Bridget Regan, the actress who played Dottie, went back and watched how Natasha fights in the movies and tried to replicate some of that in Agent Carter since they're both from the same program, though obviously decades apart.)

Now I'm suddenly wishing that if Agent Carter doesn't get resurrected anywhere, Dottie somehow gets frozen or time-warped or whatever into the modern MCU.
