Streaming 1: There Goes the Weekend
A place for shows presented as streaming only — for example Netflix Originals, Amazon Prime Streaming, Hulu Plus, Yahoo, and other sites. (Note: Shows that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe shall be discussed in that thread.)
Spoiler Policy: Spoiler font two weeks for content presented all at once. Content presented as weekly episodes may be discussed with no restrictions as it is released.
The Mandalorian:
Grogu piloting the body of a dead ally is kind of disturbing but him spamming the "Yes" button while they were walking down the street was hilarious.
While Paz Vizla's final stand was really cool I will never understand media that pulls the "there's too many" sacrifice card and then has that person almost win. If they almost win solo then they should have been able to win easily with their allies. They probably should have had the Praetorian Guards show up while there were still super commandos up and fighting.
I loved every single bit of this week's Ted Lasso. (Well, except the unsurprising reveal that Jamie's dad is even more horrific than he previously demonstrated himself to be.) Every other part, though. SO GOOD.
SO GOOD
I’m still not sure about Rebecca’s psychic predictions storyline although I like her story other than that, I think.
Basically every time I would think “well, this storyline is giving me everything, I don’t need anything else” we’d switch focus to someone else giving me a different everything. Good job, show.
The whole thing with Roy and Jamie was amazing.
Right? So good

I laughed SO HARD. Something that this show does so well is hit the beats perfectly.
Lockwood & Co I have finished Book 1, watched a few minutes of the first episode and then looked at some of the summaries of the rest of the season and realized I want to read the next book before getting into the show so now I'm doing that. But I like what I have gotten to so far in both media!
Ted Lasso I'm not sure how I feel about this week's episode. Other than I heart Keeley and Keeley and Rebecca's relationship. Mostly I keep thinking it's really weird that Jack wants Keeley to follow her lawyer's advice about what is surely a PR problem when PR is Keeley's business and core competency. Although maybe that is the point?
Damn you wee PMM! I have finished the L&Co books and while the level of resolved-ness is pretty appropriate, really, I am kind of flailing around at how open things are left. Partly because of the not really a framing story but implications that there is a framing story bits that are sprinkled here and there - I always have mixed feelings about those. I even went and looked for fic but there is a fuckload and I can't handle wading into all that.
Anyway, also happy with the show. Noticed a couple of changes I'm not happy with but may turn out okay.

Hee! I went Show to Books and love them both, sometimes for the same reasons, sometimes for different reasons.
What kind of fic are you looking for, says the person who has been mainlining it since February and might have some actual recs (honestly, it does need more plotty gen, but also, this fandom on April 1 blessed us with 11k of crack-treated-seriously Kipps/Skull that went straight into my Kindle after reading. so it has its charms).
