Streaming 1: There Goes the Weekend
A place for shows presented as streaming only — for example Netflix Originals, Amazon Prime Streaming, Hulu Plus, Yahoo, and other sites. (Note: Shows that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe shall be discussed in that thread.)
Spoiler Policy: Spoiler font two weeks for content presented all at once. Content presented as weekly episodes may be discussed with no restrictions as it is released.
3) If they get to end the series on their own terms, there will be an immense amount of fuckery, fake deaths, and sailing off into the sunset...errr...rise.
They definitely introduced "fuckery" early on to slip around the historical record.
I mean, even if you get into Anne Bonny's actual history the record suggests fuckery.
OMG! The Andor season finale was a real kick in the feels.
And
B2EMO!! B2EMO IS THE REAL HERO OF THE STORY!
Also, wait for a short post credits stinger.
Beeee! Best droid ever, and the only one that people actually treat like a person with feelings.
Mon Mothma's outfit in that last scene! HOLY SHIT. I really need a longass video essay on the costume design on this show.
It was all so good. I cannot believe how good this show is. It makes me happy to have it in the world.
Andor comment shamelessly stolen from Mastodon, but one I 100000% agree with:
When I die, bake my ashes into a brick and use me to hit fascists.
Posted a season wrap-up on DW:

Three episodes in, and Wednesday is easily exceeding my low expectations.
I do hate how fucking padded these Netflix shows are, though.
I finally saw the end of Andor. I loved it. Great character arcs, and an older woman got to have a major scene (albeit after death).
I do hate how fucking padded these Netflix shows are, though
Agreed. You would think streaming would give a lot more freedom for both episode count and episode length than we see. Let the show runners take whatever time they need to tell each particular story they want to tell instead of trying to force them into a specific running time.
Wheel of Time had the opposite problem: a lot of the episodes could use an extra 10 minutes to let things breathe. (Though it sounds like they may be getting that for season 2.)
So it looks like some of the rumors over why Henry Cavill left The Witcher might be true.
He just announced on Instagram he is partnering with someone at Vertigo and Amazon to make a Warhammer Cinematic Universe. Although there isn't any scripts or writers or directors yet..
In his Instagram post he said having a home like Amazon will give them the freedom to do Warhammer justice and he promises to respect the IP and bring something familiar.
Are there any fans of Louise Penny's Gamache mysteries here? Amazon Prime is streaming a show based on some of her books called Three Pines. [link]
I've watched a few episodes, and I'm enjoying it. They aren't identical to the books, but some things, like raising First Nations issues, are coming in earlier, and I think that's actually a plus.
