It's like a huge chunk of the Internet just died. If you guys hadn't all clearly heard the same news or experienced it, I would be trying to disbelieve it.

Yes bonbon! Specific. She was so specific in almost everything. The type of silver earring she liked, her breakfast cereal, haircut.

It made it hard to have even OATMEAL this morning because of that.

Her search to get everything perfect. Fucking oatmeal, man.

I was pouring fizzy SodaStream water for lunch and thought about the lemon stuff she put in hers -- RealLemon?

I had True Lime in my water. The kind without sweetener, of course.

BTW, ita shared an Evernote notebook of recipes with me a while back. I have archived it into a notebook that I can share with any of you that want.

I loved her toughness about assumptions or ideas or anything fuzzy. Made for some of the most spirited, memorable, funny and Buffistas-ish discussions on this Board. She had no fear about stirring things up--but always in a quest-for-answers way. She didn't want trouble, she wanted truth.

The link thing has me laughing. One of a million and one things to miss about ita.

I think LAistas will be needed, if you can, to help ita's family when they get here. They're looking for flights/hotel to come and take care of her, but they will need help sorting ita's belongings and getting around, I would think. The coroner and courthouse are Downtown, and ita's place is West LA, and the traffic between the two is insane. If it's possible, I would like to put together a small contact list of people who can help them if they need to get someplace or navigate bureaucracy.

I wish I could help. We are moving to NC next week. I can check in here and see if there's anything I can do.
