ita's thread
A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.
she would love that, I think.
Aw, thanks, dcp! I think she would have loved it, too.
Just saw Vortex’s message about Toddson and am sad. Am way behind on natter, and also on the news, so thought I’d post here. It’s really hard to get older and start losing people on an all too regular basis.
Yes, it does become a far too frequent occurrence as we age. My mom had close friends of a wide variety of ages, but when her last childhood friend passed away, in their 90s, it hit her the hardest. She said there was no longer a single person with the same lifelong memories as her. She had outlived her immediate family when she turned 42, but it wasn't until 95 that she outlived all her friends.
You'd think you get used to it, but you don't.
Today is a day to remember the abundance of joy that Jacqueline brought to our lives. We celebrate your birth and miss you so much.
Absolutely. I thought of her often during my rewatch of How I Met Your Mother(Except I didn't bother finishing this time.) I wasn't going to stop here, rather in Great Write, but it's fitting that a post about finishing a novel(Maybe just A Shitty First Draft, but still) should end up here. I wish it had been one of the things that JZ had always taken all the interest in, but she still would believe in it more than I do. Still--yay-"Wedded Twist" is done!
Remembering Ouise today on her birthday and sending comfort~ma to her loved ones.
Awww, Ouise...
I never thought I'd get verklempt rewatching/finishing watching "New Girl" which is kind of why I chose it, over and above my general "addiction" to hangout comedy, right? I'll watch "Happy Endings" too.Sometimes I do weigh it out between trying to start out fresh in the morning--pretty much not a thing--and trying to pretend I've ever known where the party is with my imaginary friends--Which didn't seem as tragic as it looks right here, but I'll leave it...not the point- but at first, I was mad about "Injured" because it made me think about work and how I can't be thinking the show is super-dated because Nick doesn't have health insurance to cover the roughhousing accident, let alone the lump on his neck! But this is in this thread both because the gang tries to give him a sendoff, of a sort, which reminded me of us.(also Jess falling on him could have saved his life.) Sadly, the thing that reminded me of me was when Nick said that when people go off and jump in the ocean, he's always the guy guarding the wallets. This is also me(although circumstances have made me no fun on an actual beach, natch--pulling a chair across sand is something to do once, if that.
