All I can think of is how her fam was super academic (the mom with the rats! The Sister with crazy research!). Did she become a superhero as part of all that somehow? I feel like it would tie in but I am not a big superhero person.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I like that. And the diplomatic upbringing should be in there somehow.

Because books.

Clearly, her best superpower is arguing any issue with purpose and savvy and receipts.

are all the other heroines in the book, ones pulled from sources like comics, books, film, or tv?

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

No, they're all original creations (thus the challenge!) He wouldn't weigh in on what his inspirations cane from or anything.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I'd say something along the lines of the ability to remain calm and collected in the face of virtually any trauma. (In addition to the SuziQ's reference to her infamous links, need I remind everyone about her visit to the Precious Moments Chapel or that she saw Carrot Top Full Monty and emerged from the experience with sanity and eyes intact?)

Always Anti-fascist!

Snark that can kill, but only sometimes. Maybe home and away hero costumes: One in silver, one in pink gingham. everyone wants to be her sidekick.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Going off Fred's idea, in one heritage family the first and second born daughters are interested in other things. The youngest is obviously destined for another calling. But the middle child, who appears to have few outstanding attributes? Begs to be included, and once in training, blows everyone away and kicks ass.
