'Time Bomb'

ita's thread

A place where we can talk about ita, miss ita, and share information about memorials. The hugging started over here in Natter.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I think for me it is the set up.

hey everyone are you paying attn - I'm going to write something now.

then the thing itself - It both states I I I, while seemingly minimizing him, but it is only seemingly - it is still all self.

then that it was on twitter which I guess is his main social media outlet, but seems an odd choice given that I think the fewest of those of us who knew her are there. it reads as not really about her, but about the piece, to get a reaction for an audience.

and this was written this year on her birthday, so a year later.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I agree, it feels like a performance

It is terrible that really I just want to be done thinking about him? For now anyway

Because books.

I feel the same way, Burrell. I keep loving that we're all here together, and the board is so active, and then I remember why we're here and it pisses me off.

Thrive to spite them

It's a weird sympathy ploy self promotion thing...like a teaser for his story more than remembering ita. At least that's how I feel.

And I also feel happy to see people but sorry it's under these circumstances.

Always Anti-fascist!

This whole incident, ironically, makes me appreciate ita's abilities, and the fact that sometimes? She kind of smacked me back about sloppy thinking or whatever, but she did it without making me feel small. I know, to this day, that I come from the gut more than ita, but she left a powerful example. I think it's okay that he wrote about her, but right this second I wish he'd keep her name out of his mouth.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I guess you all have more finely tuned bullshit detectors than I do, because that doesn't set off mine.

Nor mine. But everybody's different. Still doesn't change the overall impact.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

ita thought he was a tool.

This says everything to me.

“Not dead yet!”

Why is it written in second person? Gross.

Same reason he writes everything about his accomplishments in third person. I think he thinks it makes him seem witty or some such bullshit.

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I think that's a carry-over from old Facebook. It used to force you to start every post with "[your name] is", and some people would continue the sentence in third person. They got rid of that at least ten years ago, but he kept on phrasing things that way.

I think that was way back in the day, when Facebook was just a thing for college kids, and you had to have a valid .edu email address to join.
