That's awesome. I wonder if ita's sister is involved.
Yeah, that sounds like something she would be behind.
I looked to see if they take donations, and they do but only by check or wire. [link] I'm planning on mailing a check in ita's memory, maybe this weekend, if anyone would rather paypal me than write their own check (or let me know that they'll pay me later, whatever) I'd be happy to increase the amount.
ETA: had to check, but yes, profile addy is good
Dana, did you run into any pictures that would not upload to Tumblr? I have two tonight that will not. I go to the next picture and it does fine, come back to the one that refused and it still refuses. No error, just the page looks like it refreshes, but the picture is still there and it is not showing up on the feed.
Yeah, I hit that last night. I wonder if it's a Tumblr problem, because I went through 800 or so pictures without a problem until now.
it must be. It just happened again. grrr.
But it is not happening with all photos. It is an issue with specific images. puzzlement
It seems unlikely to me that I'd have made it through over 1000 photos (just checked the number) without hitting this problem, but I'm playing with one of the images to see if I can figure out what it is.
Okay, what's working for me is opening it in Photoshop Elements, because that's the image editing program I have, and then re-saving it. If something went funky during the mass downloading that Gris did, it may be that just re-saving it helps repair the file.
If you have anything (maybe even MS Paint?) you might try that. If it's not feasible, you can keep the ones that aren't working for you and I can batch process them later or something.
right now I am saving them to a folder.
and bless, I have reached Damian Lewis. I need a moment.
