No notes needed, Allyson. I feel like the thank you post in Press was more than enough thanks (and so beautiful, so th- I mean, your hair is so shiny). When you're out of spoons, I think you should only do the things that have to be done to keep your life moving, and let the rest wait. Only you know what those things are, but I would bet thank you notes and projects aren't.
I was drowsing through an episode of
My Name is Earl
this morning, in which Earl put on a funeral for someone he'd wronged in the past. No one showed up, but when they went back to the guy's house, his computer screen was full of IMs from people checking in on him. I had to turn the episode off at that point, to prevent crying. And then I was quite awake.
I've thought about that episode the whole time.
I got my package, Lee, thanks so much. I'm struck by how tiny the shirts are...doesn't seem like such a big personality could fit in them...
I also got my package, Lee. Thank you.
(And because I suck, I have not sent yours yet, but I haven't actually forgotten this time.)
Quick Hivemind question: I got one of ita's SPN shirts. I love it as a shirt, love it MUCH MORE as a keepsake, but I need some opinions.
It fits me, except the neck is too tight. I've never been able to wear ANYTHING too tight around the neck -- tees, turtlenecks, chokers, scarves -- I think I was strangled in a former life.
Would it be sacrilegious for me to neatly cut the neck wider? Would you guys mind? Do you think ita would disapprove?
I want to be able to wear the shirt when I need to channel ita's kickassedness, and in her memory, but I have been really wrestling with whether or not to do this, so I'm going to let the Buffistas tell me what I should do. I'm in a real dilemma.
Thanks, all.
It's yours now. Do what you want with it.
That's what ita would say, I'm sure. It's yours now. The important thing is what it means to you.
Do what you need to to be able to use it, Strix. Alter it, add ruffles, whatever.
ita had Jilli alter her an Iron Man shirt. I think she'd be just fine with it.
Exactly what I was thinking of.
