yeah, that was the part that bugged. So, wrong for this week. I know they wrote and filmed it months ago, but i just couldn't deal with that particular fantasy when reality is so much worse.

Supernatural 3: Family don't end with blood
[NAFDA]. This is where we talk about the CW series Supernatural! Anything that's aired in the US on TV (including promos) is fair game. No spoilers though — if you post one by accident, an admin will delete it.
Not their fault, sure. Totally my own personal wince away. I'll catch it later on.
I feel quite certain I would've found Dean's gleeful toddler-esque "I killed Hitler!" mantra distasteful even if there'd been a last minute Constitutional Amendment to win Obama a third term. You didn't draw a picture of a bunny that your mom pinned to the refrigerator, dude!
This season is being brought to us by Alan Smithee, apparently.
I'd say all of 2016 is.
I also found last week's episode poorly timed and in poor taste.
But I liked this week's (Mary is back) and Rick Springfield was in the promo: but I can't recall if that is in 2 weeks or in January.
December 1st, sumi. They're skipping next week, probably for holiday programming.
Given that I would watch the Jody show, with rotating backup of Donna, Alex, and Claire, I loved Jody from her hoodie and flannel inside pants to her meet with Mary. And I loved that Kim got to act possession--she did well with it, I thought.
I love Lisa Berry's Billie to distraction(secret wish: a script or a project that gets her and Gina Torres on my screen at the same time. The screen may explode from all the awesome, but I'd die happy), so I was glad to see her again.
And I really loved the nod to Ellen and the Roadhouse--three tough women, hunters (or hunter adjacent in Jody's case), and fierce mothers. Nice.
Also loved the tattling little brother look on Sam's face when he outed Dean for his anime porn fondness.
Nice that the Winchesters learned that they're legendary among hunters--Canadian ones, at least. And Elvis' fangirling was a bit hard to take, but at least someone in the know acknowledged what Sam did for the world.
Loved the twins, I'd love to see them again. Loved Asa's backstory with Mary, and loved the fact that Asa and Jody had a relationship.
I didn't think the plot was all that, but I loved the scenes, the characters, and the relationships between the characters.
And it must be said, I'm really enjoying the break from all the angel/demon detritus.
I am caught up!
Very much enjoyed the Asa Fox episode.
"I'm still working through this crap but I'll try not to be such a dick about it" is not a bad mission statement.
I thought that it was interesting that the boy twin talked about how his mother taught him to seduce men, and none of the hunters batted an eye. Maybe (sure, maybe) I'm reading too much fanfic, but aren't hunters supposed to be a pretty homophobic bunch?
Noticed that too. Hunters can have layers?
I didn't find the Nazi one objectionable, just kind of silly. But mostly I kept expecting it to turn into a Grimm crossover.
I have been having some pretty angry feels about Mary. Who didn't ask to be in this situation, for sure. But her "I liked it better in heaven with the little boys you were rather than the men you've become" was kind of gutting. I know my reaction is coming from a bit of a woobie place, but damn woman. Way to rip their hearts out.
I think hunter homophobia is all fanon. There hasn't really been much canon about hunters as a group.
I have been appreciating that Mary gets to have feelings like that and isn't just Mother.
