I bought a used book online, it was really cheap and a book Everyone was talking about last year, but it reeks of patchouli. Can I ever get it out?

Yay! They sure made you work for it.
All right, aurelia! About time, but congratulations all the same!
erika, I have a sneaking suspicion that patchouli is eternal.
Yay, aurelia! Finally!
erika, I have seen guides to getting mildew scent out of water-damaged books, maybe those techniques would apply? I don't remember what they were, unfortunately, as it wasn't something I actually needed to know.
Congratulations, aurelia!

Did anyone else go to a "stinking hippies" place? just me? Not that I'm anti-patchouli. I did go to Berkeley after all. But perhaps for that very reason, I do relish the opportunity to say Stinking Hippies!
Thanks!
erika, my first thought is sprinkling it with baking soda and/or sticking it in the freezer.
Good news, aurelia!
Brava, aurelia! It's about time!
I love my Dad: he paid for all my new glasses (I had new lenses put in my backup frames and my sunglasses), so I took him to lunch. And then I went to the home show, which was a waste of time: a couple dozen vendors with no real displays except for the hot tub guys, and at least half a dozen home solar vendors. Which I don't need. Nobody had kitchen displays, sigh.
And now I'm going to take a nap. Yay for lazy(ish) Saturday afternoons.
Hurray, aurelia! And serious congrats, I'm glad they came to their senses.
Congratulation, Aurelia!
