Congrats, Aurelia!
Fingers crossed I have a better evening tonight than last night. In addition to feeling stuffed up (I can breathe fine but my ear is full of fluid!), I felt awkward and lonesome, and danced not at all (I left early, and most of the evening was watching competitions, but still). Hoping I can stay up later tonight, and dance more.
bonny fides, I'm getting a server error at the link you posted in Beep Me.
I bought a used book online, it was really cheap and a book Everyone was talking about last year, but it reeks of patchouli. Can I ever get it out?
I didn't know there was new Tom Robbins book published last year.
Removed all the trash from the car and vacuumed it. Replaced the cat litter in case it was the new stuff making Loki chew off his loinfur. Dinner, then tackling front room table.
Congratulations, aurelia!
I just checked a couple of bookish places online, and the least-damaging bad smell solution seems to be sprinkling the book with baking soda, putting it in a bag for 24 hours, and then shaking and dusting it out; the soda should absorb at least enough of the smell to let you read the book. (Alternatively, another site suggested putting the book in the freezer, but I am highly suspicious of any Joey Tribbiani-approved method of book maintenance.)

Unless it's a fear-related problem. ::nods::
I totally thought of that too! Still love Friends.
A plastic freezer bag? A paper bag?
So my brother's having a driveless drive-in movie night: SIL has a large portable screen and projector for work. So they set up in the backyard, camp chairs, fire pit, wired to nside sound system with wireless speakers on the deck behind the screen, roasted marshmallows and made s'mores.
I love their family creativity. I love how much fun they have being a family.
