'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Steph, FWIW, one of my calming routines is solitaire-like games (like timed Sudoku) or puzzle games where I can't think about anything but which thing goes where, instead of what's making me anxious.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I got a stomach bug, the day after I started taking a diuretic for my newly-discovered hypertension. Bad timing. Dehydrated. Lost 7 pounds in two days. (Don't really mind that part. The barfing, I mind.) Doctor says take it easy, drink fluids, stop the med for now. I said, that's what I was gonna do! Go me, doctoring myself.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Here's a new one, from my boss on a conference call:

"So who's the one neck to choke on this [if X doesn't get done]?

the day after I started taking a diuretic for my newly-discovered hypertension.

Hypertension high-five!

...too soon?

I am going to engage in some retail therapy for somehow making it through this week of enormous deadlines. I need a new messenger bag, so I'm thinking this: [link]

And maybe some extra flaps: [link]

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Hypertension high-five!

Go Team Hypertension!

(I finally went to get blood drawn this morning for that damned cholesterol test. I sure hope that 9 months of oatmeal almost every morning plus lots more veggies and coconut oil brought my level down by the 9 [NINE!] frigging points that will keep the doctor happy.)

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Aw, I'll miss your purple bag.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The hypertension isn't worrying me, really. If all it takes to fix it is taking a water pill, eating less salt, and getting a little more exercise, you know, I could have worse problems.

How long does a stomach bug usually last? 48 hours? I'm going back to bed. Hopefully without barfing on the way.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just in case our techy job-seekers haven't seen that Reverb is hiring: [link] They are open to remote workers.

Aw, I'll miss your purple bag.

The brand discontinued the style, so I'll hang on to the purple bag if I can figure out how to clean it since I can't get a new one. It's pretty grody.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Sweet messenger bags.

I have been admiring Sherpani bags in various styles when I see them in stores, but I do not need any sort of bag for any reason at all probably for the rest of my life. Huge surplus at my house.
