Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The hypertension isn't worrying me, really. If all it takes to fix it is taking a water pill, eating less salt, and getting a little more exercise, you know, I could have worse problems.

How long does a stomach bug usually last? 48 hours? I'm going back to bed. Hopefully without barfing on the way.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Just in case our techy job-seekers haven't seen that Reverb is hiring: [link] They are open to remote workers.

Aw, I'll miss your purple bag.

The brand discontinued the style, so I'll hang on to the purple bag if I can figure out how to clean it since I can't get a new one. It's pretty grody.

Sweet messenger bags.

I have been admiring Sherpani bags in various styles when I see them in stores, but I do not need any sort of bag for any reason at all probably for the rest of my life. Huge surplus at my house.

I finally went to get blood drawn this morning for that damned cholesterol test.

Ugh, I need to do that sometime soon. Which means I need to start laying off the baked goods immediately and give myself enough time to recover from eating all the bacon and poutine this week.

I'm getting a little tired of all this work I seem to be expected to do while I'm at work. 5 days in a row is too much.

I was just thinking that exact thing! I am totally out of gas, brain-wise, by about noon on Friday. If not sooner.

Oh great, I get to go interview someone now...

Errands done, finally ate something at 1, by which point I was really cranky, oops. New bird feeder holder installed [link] Got cheap plastic plates and installed a dish underneath, since birds are messy and I have a ridiculous pile of birdseed on the ground below...

Wish I'd gotten a little more done, but traffic was a bit much for midday on a Friday...

Why doesn't Reverb need a remote Security Manager? CURSES!

By the by, techies here -- I am working on Dan's resume and LinkedIn profile. He's a horrible networker, so I think he needs some more tech industry contacts OUTSIDE his current job.

If anyone would be willing to have him connect with you on LinkedIn, send me an email or FB message with your email addy, and I'll have him add you. He won't bug you are ask for recs or do anything annoying -- he just needs to expand his job search field.

Sorry if this is an inappropriate request -- I have NO INTENTION of offending anyone or trying to take advantage. I'm just trying to help him get a better job so we can move to live near our son.

Gracias!

Cute feeder, sarameg.

I like to think that my fallen birdseed gets eaten up by doves and other ground feeders, but in reality enough has accumulated to make a little hillock next to the "iron tree" that holds the feeder. The grass grows over it, though, so I think it's fine. Kinda sproingy to walk on, actually, which seems nice to my feet. I sometimes think I should build up the parts of the yard where water pools (when we have water to pool, which is starting to feel like something that only happened in the lost Golden Age of Not Drought) by scattering bird seed or somesuch.
