I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Y'all. I do not have any lunches made. I'm at a loss.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Jesse, won't your calendar figure that out for you, if you let it?

Oh snap -- I never noticed the Time Zone setting thing. I will totally use that moving forward. It's got to be better than counting on my fingers!

I think I have repurposed enough Second Breakfasts to get through the day. Crisis averted

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

All toads are named Trevor.

Ever the Trevor, never the Clyde.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I did the same thing as Jesse yesterday and had to work it out on notepad."let's see, he wants to meet at 1:30 his time… "

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I am constantly writing out charts of what time it is where, because I am often trying to coordinate conference calls across three time zones. Just the other day, it was one person in London, one in Siberia, and us in Boston!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Sometimes when working out timezone issues I picture a map in my head and think, "East coast--sun rises earlier there" or "The UK is a lot east of us..."

sarameg - Sep 19, 2014 5:40:33 am PDT #6521 of 30000

I always stumble projecting east. But I've spent the last couple decades calculating what time it is in NM, so west is a no brainer.

Ok! Time to figure out my shopping list. I'm off work today, had a reasonable amount of sleep and should have missed all the school traffic. Plant/bird feeder hanger, booze, tp, juice...

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I am yet again full of raaaaaaage at this stupid volunteering gig for the ADD group. The chair asked me for a list of all the books in the library, and then a list of all the books that are marked as missing. So I generated them from the database (it was actually pretty time-consuming to do it, because I don't know how to actually run reports from the database).

So she emailed me back and said she needs reports with the publication dates of all the missing books. I want to punch her in her annoying face. If she had told me that at the start, I would have included the fucking dates. Redoing those reports is going to take forever and I don't have that kind of time.

(She's also asked for a lot of other stuff that I can't give her, like a list of which books are checked out most often -- the database doesn't track that information, so I don't have a clue. And she also asked if I've made an effort to track down the people who haven't returned books. Well, YES, but if they don't reply, I'm not going to drive to their houses.)

I am curious what the public library's rate of checked-out-and-never-returned books is. Because ours is kind of high.

Anyway, YES, I am going to resign, but I'm sticking it out through the October meeting, so I have to deal with this crap until I'm done. So full of raaaaaage.

That's why we have 4 clocks in the Planning Department, clearly labeled. Of course, that is behind a door from me, but I mostly just have to know what time it is in Eastern and Central time and I have (like sarameg) been making that calculation a long time. Buyt I still like to be able to choose the correct time zone in Google Calendar or wherever, because then it's not me that's figuring it out.
