ED said that if (male) boss couldn't attend the arborist tomorrow, he wanted the (male) facilities manager to do so, because he wanted someone other than me (female) to be on hand.
It took me two days to remove the inferred sexism out of his demand and to see it as "I want one of these other two qualified staff to have glorified babysitting duty so that you can do your actual job that I trust only you to do". My knee-jerk pessimism strikes again and I wish I'd stop.

Coincidentally, my BiL just reportedly declined to have a 6-lb milkshake. So, balance of the universe and all, someone should probably eat a sundae as big as her head.

OK, I got the instructions on how to transfer my triathlon registration. I think I am actually going to transfer to a 5K that is meant to be run with dogs, because that sounds so fun, and maybe put off the triathlon until Spring rather than try to do the October one. Which makes me feel like maybe I am malingering or sandbagging or something, but what the hell, I am only doing any of this racing stuff because I want to so who's gonna judge?
