I contributed to a crowdfunding campaign for an origami exhibition earlier this year at the Cooper Union in NYC, and my "perk" arrived today: [link]
One piece of paper, and the display surface has the fold pattern inscribed.
Now I have to figure out some way to keep the dust off.
OK, I got the instructions on how to transfer my triathlon registration. I think I am actually going to transfer to a 5K that is meant to be run with dogs, because that sounds so fun, and maybe put off the triathlon until Spring rather than try to do the October one. Which makes me feel like maybe I am malingering or sandbagging or something, but what the hell, I am only doing any of this racing stuff because I want to so who's gonna judge?
Wow, dcp, that's beautiful!
Theo, you could always get chickens. I'm given to understand that they think wasps, yellowjackets, etc. are delicious. If the crumpled paper bag doesn't work out, I mean.
I am having the weirdest issue on google image searches - the whole page flips and I cannot scroll.
ION - Jesse - is there a submit link for eyecandy?
I am seriously pretty boy focused right now.
Dcp, I love that! The paper looks leathery.
Survived today despite having to play sysadmin. There's good reason I'm not a sysadmin.
Holy shit, I just realized mom turns 70 in a couple months. I find this unnerving. (Doesn't help she's having hernia surgery the DAY before. Way to schedule, mom.)
ION - Jesse - is there a submit link for eyecandy?
I guess not? But you can just throw it in the Good Stuff with a note... or leave it here for everyone!
I'm trying to decide if I want to go to Bethlehem VegFest this weekend. It looks like it'll be a lot of fun, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to handle driving there and then all the walking around and then driving back, all in one day, and I don't think I want to pay for a hotel room just for this.
My mom and I just got tickets to Finding Neverland at the ART! That should be fun.
Allyson: if a little of what you fancy does you good, then doesn't a lot of you fancy do you excellent. (Grammar? This is a justification. I don't need no stinkin grammar!)
Hillary: sounded less like indecision and more like a "no, on balance I'm not going".
