I got up at 4:30 because I have decided that if I wake up fairly wide awake any time after 3:00 am, I will not be able to get up by 5:50 to get to work, and will instead sleep until 8, have to call a cab, and still be an hour late for work.
I still had trouble making the 5:50 bus. Why am I so slow? I don't even do anything other than shower and brush my hair and teeth. I am just sitting.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.
I'm pretty slow-moving in the morning, so I know to build in that time. Of course, this morning, I didn't even sleep until the half-hour-later alarm I had set, which was annoying! I would blame it on my mother walking around upstairs, but I had no problem sleeping until 10 on Sunday, and clearly she was up and about then.

I just reread, and I actually was having trouble catching the 6:50 bus! So it took me 2 hours and 20 minutes to get ready!

Hotel bed was great, slept well, woke up with the alarm and didn't hit snooze. Showered, packed, ate breakfast and am at work. Now I have the gronk and just want to put my head down for a nap. I have 90 minutes before my first meeting, I could get a good nap in. Instead I'll try to get some work done. No fair.

Friends of the IDF has started a new thing, like the ice bucket challenge, called "Hamas vs. Humus." (They really should have thought about that spelling a bit more.) Same basic concept of making videos and challenging people, but you've got to either spread hummus all over your face or contribute to Friends of the IDF. This is ridiculous, right? My cousins are all posting it, and they think it's a fabulous idea, and I just think it's ... not.
