I do agree that there's no particular reason for you and the kids to go, esp. since you already have plans for that day, but I wonder if he might think that, for some reason, it will be embarrassing for him to go without you.

So I dug three pounds of "pork stew meat" out of the freezer and tossed it in a pot with a marinade for Chinese-style BBQ pork and simmered that (MAGNETICALLY because I can) for something like an hour and a half. Petty damn delicious.
