flea, it sounds like your DH wants to go, but it doesn't make sense for all of you to go, esp if it means the kids missing an event that would mean more to them.

I agree with this. It sounds like your DH should go, but it doesn't sound like there is any reason for you or the kids to be there.

BTW, my dad made it through surgery well. The dr, was really pleased, and though he was cranky this afternoon, the anesthetic hasn't made him confused or disoriented. Thanks for all the ~ma.

Bacall was my favorite actress. I know 89 is a good, long life, but it still feels like it was too short.
