A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It's more sugar than I am used to, but I think that's okay in the circumstances...

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

Wow, ~ma and luck to everyone who needs it today. I am struggling against my inbox since I'm only working a half day, because VividCon is this weekend and that means I get vids and Buffistas. I won't complain.

I've decided small town hospitals in Wisconsin suck.

Small town hospitals in Michigan are remarkably the same. In middle school, I had a doctor tell me I probably had "the kissing disease" when I later was diagnosed with allergies. The situation hasn't improved, because I was talking with my mom recently. One of her coworkers is a high-strung kind of person and apparently her doctor recommended that she get laid.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm guessing small town hospitals anywhere are a crap shoot.

hip deep in pie

Holds up hand for hospital my dad is in. His doctor is kind of a jerk. (We had to argue for proper pain management.) So could we go for back up to dad's orthopaedic surgeon? Unlikely since both the surgeon and the anaesthesiologist for his surgery are his GP's brothers.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't know if it's small town so much as small.

I know, UCLA horror stories, but the boutique hospital I went to sometimes, one doctor threatened me with a spinal tap if I kept insisting I had pain. I tugged open my gown and said "Go for it" and he, unsurprisingly took another course.

t looks way too much like I'm looking for work.

Isn't that the game? Says the woman about to get into a vintage dress (I picked #2--it's from the 80s).

I have no words for the Buffistas with family illness problems.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

So much ~ma for tommyrot & family.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I went back to the suit, and then when I got to work found a spot on the skirt. This is where I blame Tino, right?

With a sweater on instead of a jacket, it looks just like a nice outfit, not a job hunting outfit.

Oy.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Interview~ma for everyone who needs it, and job~ma that the right ones land in your laps.

I feel horribly queasy and don't know if it's stress or bad eating or what. I had homemade fish tacos last night and a poached egg and bacon this morning, which doesn't seem horrible to me, but I feel like ass. I am assuming stress unless something else asserts itself. Anyway I suspect the best answer is to face some of the onerous tasks before me. Ugh.

Honestly Consuela I would hope that those interviewing you aren't looking for spots on your skirt. It'll be fine, and you'll be great.
