Also don't think it is proven that atheists face worse discrimination than lgbt.
I thought that was a given. I mean, people *are* shitty to atheists, but they don't tend to get killed, AFAIK, for being atheists.

Someone probably has, I bet. Still, it doesn't seem to compare.
(Not that quantifying discrimination is anything but a fool's game. No one wins the Oppression Olympics.)
Does anyone know where the Great Nail Polish Box is? I have a bunch of colors I'd like to get rid of...(part and parcel of the pre-moving purge.)
Has there been a specific incident at your place of work, Hil, that would garner that particular kind of request?
There's polling that shows that the mistrust and dislike for atheists is remarkably high, but I haven't seen any data about how that translates into discrimination. I think it's a fundamentally different question. LGBT discrimination is directed at what people are, not what they believe.
I love Ginger. That's all!

Nothing that I know of. I mean, there's a preacher who's always standing outside one of the buildings telling everyone that they're going to hell, but he's been there for about 30 years.
MAybe it's like my last job before we separated from ING with the posters encouraging people to come out of the closet. Step 2: Address issues raised by de-closeting.

Man, I told some recruiter we'd talk this afternoon, and I feel chained to the house. I wanted to go look up Gustav Dore either in the bookstore or the library.
Here's some Dore while you wait, ita. [link]
Timelies all!
I started feeling shaky(literally) after finishing my session on the treadmill. Dunno why. I ate some almonds, maybe that will help.
Whom do you think will be elected POTUS first, an Atheist or a gay person?
I've wondered that myself. But separately, to get to Hil's initial post, I have finally learned the importance of listening to someone's concerns (and validate them) without trying to add my own concern in. It's one of the the things I've learned from people I follow on Twitter.
