You have to ask people to review you/ I'm glad that is not part of our process.
I'm having to constantly check which of the things that urgently need doing CAN be done and it's frying my brain even faster than a typical day. OTOH, that they are not getting done is not, at this point, my fault.
Hm, bimonthly meeting with Sr. Director has been cancelled. I'll try not to take it personally. But if we don't meet again until September I'll be annoyed if she expects us to remember what we talked about in May. That's a long time between meetings.
I have to come up with a WHOLE BUNCH OF PEOPLE to answer a survey about me! This year my boss and I skipped it because we have a new online review process, which we hate, and we were too busy hating it.
That's kind of nice that your boss hates it with you, at least.
Yeah, it's pretty annoying. I'm glad my boss hates it as well, because otherwise I'm pretty sure I'd be looking for three IN ADDITION to my two direct reports.
It is. It is too bad my boss does not decide my raise (or even know my salary).
I am actually not certain if we are getting raises. If we are, it will be effective on Wednesday. We usually get a letter detailing the raise, and I haven't gotten one. I wasn't at the last all staff meeting, so maybe they talked about it there and let us know that there were no raises.
Thank you, brenda! I think you are better at leaning in than I am.

We are in the process of handing off projects and people have been saying to me, "I will learn from the master!" when I say that I'm comfortable chasing down leadership.
And I don't know what to do with that. Because I guess I have gotten reasonably good at it, but it's because I'm like that cartoon with the dog sitting in a room on fire going, "This is fine."
