I came up to the restaurant tonight, just because that's where I've been for every 'Hawks win.
Chicago won the STANLEY CUP. AT HOME. Kimmo Timonen was traded from the Flyers to a contender to give him a chance to win a championship before he retired. He didn't want to leave the Flyers, but the GM told him to take this chance. And Chicago's captain immediately handed him the Cup. Huge honor. All the feels.
Ginger, I'm so sorry. It's really not fair.
edited for stray capitals.
I'm so glad they managed the win at home! I loved that Toews gave it to Timonen first. It was a really lovely moment.
The hockey gods accept your offering in place of blood.
I accidentally made another blood sacrifice on Saturday. I can't always be trusted around sharp things, apparently.
(I did wear my lucky jacket. Yes, it was 93 in the shade today.)
I had on a Toews shirt and the lucky scoring bracelet, and Hossa Bear was perched on top of the drinks menu all night.
Yay Blackhawks! Hockey is the only sport where I know the teams!
Remember how I couldn't sleep last week. Well, now all I can do is sleep. I slept for 20 hours on Sunday and called into work Monday because I couldn't get up. I slept through the night again last night!
Also Kane and Toews beards are awful! They should not grow beards!

Plus Saturday I swapped out Darby's playoff collar (that she doesn't really like) for a Hawks bandana and I think that put it over the edge.
(We've been here before. I had to give her Packer jersey away to another dog because of the bad mojo she was putting out.)

That sounds kind of amazing. How are you feeling now?
My CSA guy is a bit of a nut, which I mostly know because I have a friend who works at the farmers market. But literally yesterday he said that the distribution would start today, and this morning he says no, not til next week! Too bad I didn't really make any plans for food this week, thinking I would be eating his greens.
Well, I no longer feel like a crazy person who cannot think properly, that is for sure! I wish I had better dreams-- they are always about being thwarted at every turn. Not nightmares, but trying to do costume fittings for a show that opens the next day with no measurements and everyone stuck on stage. At my middle school
Oh, yeah, hate those.
Bummer about the greens, Jesse. Hope you find other sustenance easily.
