My mom and I saw ball lightning appear in our kitchen once, ahead of a coming storm. We heard a crack like glass breaking and looked up, and there was this ball of bright white light on the ceiling. It hung there a second, then shot across the room and disappeared. Weirdest thing.

My Monday zigged and zagged. The majority of the work day was spent fighting with the crap loaner laptop (day 10 of this). In talking to one on my PMS about shifting deliverable around as a result of this mess. He gave,me the go ahead to puchase an external hard drive so I can access all my files without having to connect to the server (something that makes the loaner freak out).
Then I talked with my boss about the mess and he mentioned he had just approved a Reward and Recognition request for me. These typically run around $50, which yay! He sent me the certificate which said who nominated me and why - very blush worthy - and how much - $300!!! I'm still in shock. It will take a paycheck or two before I get it but I don't care. I was just doing my job.
