You can report them to your bank (or whatever) - if they take Visa (or whatever) they are supposed to take any Visa card, not just the chipped cards.
Lee and I ran into that on the ferry to the Faroes. PITA
'The Killer In Me'
Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.

Oh, they still have the swiper. It just won't let you swipe if you also have a chip. Or at least the cashier doesn't know how to override. And it's freaking Walmart, btw (only place I can get the big bags of birdseed right now.) Target lets me do either. Walmart can't read my damned card.
I sent you a text but I have two numbers for you and I just chose one. There's a 3pm at the New 400, unless you'd prefer a different theater.
I did not get a text. Is that at 6746 N Sheridan? I... think I have enough time to jump in the shower and put on outside clothes and get there?
Timelies all!
Another Balticon done. Next year it moves back to downtown Baltimore, at the Inner Harbor.
I am playing passive-aggressive phone/text tag with my roommate. Half the time she spends the night at my daughter's, she calls me the next morning to provide taxi service. And the first call is at 7:30am--on a Sunday. My day to sleep in. I ignored 3 phone calls, 1 voicemail message and 1 text before I responded to the last text around 12:30. It doesn't bother me if she arranges a pick up the day before, but to call me and expect me to rescue her from utter boredom and lack of sleep--well, her failure to plan does not constitute an emergency on my part.

Yes.
Good, because I'm waiting on a northbound train!
Running out of steam. Maybe lunch will reinvigorate me.
In case anyone was wondering, aurelia and I did meet up and see Mad Max.

Awesome!

Uh, yeah, that's not cool. If she arranges pickup the day before, do you go over early, or does she arrange it for a reasonable hour? How does she get over there? Maybe just be straight up and say "that's not cool, I won't be answering my phone that early, and if you want a ride you need to ASK me ahead of time"
