Kitten!
Last time my car was in an accident our insurance company recommended a garage to take it to who billed them directly. And the car was going to be totaled at first but we had replaced the engine not long before which brought the value up. I hope your insurance company works with you to make this easy, meara.
Ugh, JZ, that is the worst.
Go Nature's Miracle! Stop that Oz!
I need to have specific identified people that I can flirt with who know it is nothing. You all should send me random friends for that. my old bfs or co workers or now married friends they all get confused.
This reminds me that my flirting skills are getting rusty. Used to flirt bunches at work with guys that were great at it. Not too much anymore. I still flirt with some of the guys DH plays pool with. So much fun with people that know it is for entertainment sake only.
eta: DH absolutely loves to flirt and would be delighted to do so with any takers.
so she went back with arguments and evidence, and they doubled the settlement. So definitely negotiate.
Yes, sometimes it is easy and others you have to argue. They wanted to put off brand parts on DH's truck when he was hit and his body shop had to argue that it was Ford original parts that were broken and that it had to be original parts that replaced them. They did so, but had to be challenged first.
Ugh for insomnia. Got me for a couple hours in the middle of the night. Did some work, read some, then slept in till 8! (after getting up to feed the dog at 6 because she did not have the insomnia)
Timelies all!
Heading to Balticon after lunch today.
I haven't had any new tumbls show up on my dashboard for 20 minutes. I think The Tumblr is sick.
Oh jeez -- my new colleague who I was hoping would do a lot of work on this one project today just left to go to the doctor. She's like 6 months pregnant. I hope everything is OK! And am also annoyed that now I have to do the work, but I can only say that to you people.
Hope she is okay, Jesse, and comes back to work soon.
So dude goes for his morning nekked swim in the New River in Fort Lauderdale then crosses back over the railroad bridge, nekked. Then the bridge goes up and he is stuck up there on top of the bridge span, nekked. So they can't just lower the bridge at that point and the fire fighters go up there, with a towel, and rescue him. Yay for the citizen who saw his plight and the firefighters. I sincerely hope that the bridge tender just didn't see him. I'm going to wait for a follow up on that aspect. [link]
Ugh, coworkers having super loud conversations with clients on a Friday morning when I was up way too late last night trying to distract myself with the internet. I had to put on Pandora just to drown them out.
Report of Maple Water? It's okay. It's super sweet as expected but not especially mapley. I am constantly disappointed in most maple products (except the maple cookies at TJs which are yum).
Ginger, I hate the lab stupidity. I wish for you easier orders/procedures/transfusions.
N is transferring to my school next year which looks to be a paper nightmare because we live out of district. He seems excited to come, but not 100% on board (he said he was 79% certain).
G had 15 vials of blood drawn yesterday for genetic testing. The lab didn't have the authorization (though the geneticist at the hospital that owns the lab did and in fact called me to arrange the appointment and followed up with the lab 3 days ago). Luckily, I had the auth in the car so I pulled over, took pictures of the authorization on my phone and texted them to K to make it work. Ugh.
OK, I did my morning exercises and ran. And warmed up some bread from the oven.
My telecon starts in 20 minutes, so I guess I'll skip my shower and just call in in my bathrobe. Hee! It's with the Navy, and I shall chortle at the thought of me in my bathrobe while they're all in uniforms etc.
I may try to make this banana bread this weekend: minimal added sugar, and it'll use up the bananas in the freezer.
15 vials! Hope that the information is helpful.
The parent-teachers I know here and in my family have all ended up with their kids at their schools, although out of district. Always a debatable decision for sure, but in the end convenience won out.
We are still hoping to persuade my niece to either switch to her home district school or let her son go to that school. The home district school is a tiny and awesome school. Less than 300 students, K-12. She teaches in a larger school further away. They would love to have her at home school, but since it is so small, and she is a Spanish language teacher, she would have a lot more work with so many different grade levels to prepare for. Where she is now she only has 3 different levels. Kid will be fine either way because both are good schools, but in such a tiny community it would be nice to see him in school with his neighbors.
