Today is my one work day this week and I'm so resenting having to be on the phone just about all day. Snarl.
CJ has grad rehearsal today and grad is tomorrow night at Red Rocks. Commencement is going forward rain or shine and the forecast is for rain. Boo.
But graduation! So excite!
Ooh, grad is at Red Rocks? I've only seen it on TV, but it looks like an awesome venue.
It's beautiful. I associate it with walking forever from the parking lot to get there, but maybe not for a graduation. I hope the weather cooperates, Suzi! It'll be amazing either way, most likely.
Somehow his high school got the hookup with Red Rocks. Only a handful of high schools have their ceremonies there. It should be beautiful. I've been to concerts and such there and adore the space
And yes, it is a hike from the parking lot into the venue.
And CJ just texted me that his class has two valedictorians, no salutatorian, and he got corded for his community service.
Well. I have one interview tomorrow and two more on Thursday now, plus a bunch of Getting to Know You chats. I think I'm gonna need some kind of reward for getting through this week.
You can doooo eeet, shrift!
I had lunch with a friend, to talk about work in the non-profit world, and now I feel like a nap. But I've already had one today so I guess I'll try to stay awake.
I can flush my toilet and take a shower without flooding the basement!
Verdict: roots. Far enough out that it's technically in the city's easement, but since I don't have an exterior cleanout, I can't get them to do squat. He shoved the crap way down the main line.
So I should be good for another couple years? Maybe? He said other than that, line felt pretty clear.
I need a new washing machine. In the last six months, however, I've bought a new refrigerator, car battery, car alternator, and belts. I said to myself "I generate enough laundry to do it once a week. Oh, look, a Laundromat two blocks away next to convenience stores and sandwich shops."
So I guess once a week I take myself out to a long lunch. My housemate can use the washing machine until it dies, then he can go to the Laundromat. (interesting, Laundromat gets automatically capitalized)
