Ugh Mother's Day. What to do?
I think my brother sent me something, which is really sweet. Last year I got nothing and I expected the same this year. My parents are not the best at getting on top of that stuff with their grandson. I'm ok treating myself.
Stephen Amell is fun times on twitter, etc. He is good at social media.
Hi Jesse!
Woes, my across the aisle buddy is moving to a different department. Good for her, I assume, but dang it I will miss her.
I'm pouring coffee in my face because I have a serious case of the gronk.
I need to run out and buy Mother's Day cards and get them in the mail today. I was on the phone last night with my sister coordinating gifts, so at least that's taken care of.

My brother and I *just* text-coordinated my stepdad's BD gift (his BD is Saturday). Without internet commerce, I would be failing SO HARD at Mothers' Day and Stepdad's BD this year. Thanks, FTD and Amazon 2-day delivery!
t edit
Although I do still need to run out and get cards as well. My family is a big believer in cards even with (or without) gifts.
I'm driving to Madison on Friday. On Saturday my sister and I will drive to Clintonville to attend Mother's Day dinner with our mom at Angelus Retirement Community.
So at least I don't have to mail the Mother's Day card.
Shrift - I apologize for the pancake question. That was CJ. The answer was fantastic!!!
Maybe I will get a mother's day card for my sister. And my SILs.
Drinks after work with co-workers, during which we will bitch. Yay.

My sister and I are exasperated with our father because we know that he'll put off picking up his part of the gift until the last minute, and we are people who plan. Or at least, I've become a person who plans, because if I don't plan, I never do anything.

Ha! As a Chicago resident, I have to say that the pancake question was a pretty sick burn.
I got cards last night, but I'm not sure if they need extra postage, so I'm hoping to finish up at this site early enough to find a post office.
This site is super weird, btw. Looks like an abandoned prison on the outside, and inside, weirdly formal and ornate furniture. Not super comfy.
I've taken a mid-day break, because my EZPass toll account ran out of money and I have to wait until it replenishes before I can drive through a toll booth. Not that hard to do when you go through $40-50 worth of tolls a week -- which Uber repays me for, but still.
