Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have got to get my shit together -- singing at a funeral this afternoon, and I'm not showered or anything yet. OK, up and at em!

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

The Nepal earthquake damage is terrible. I'm reading about it now. My boss is from New Delhi, I hope her family is all right.

Burrell, I'm sorry about Folly. But glad she's not in pain, and she has loving humans to take care of her.

msbelle, holy crap, that's rude and thoughtless. Kudos to you for keeping your cool! Sounds like mac had a fun birthday anyway.

I am still sick, and grumpy about it, but I'm getting better finally. The cough has eased up, anyway. My sister's in town and wants to meet for lunch, but I don't think I'm leaving the house.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

sj - it was such a huge tonal shift, I was okay with it. Also I kinda don't care about any of the characters on Scandal. I like watching them, but in a detached fashion.

Mmm, leftover pizza and cupcakes.

7.8 is huge. I guess I will have to read some news.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Shit shit shit... one of my co-workers and good friends is in Nepal right now. I hope she and her family are okay.

It was. It was almost light and fluffy or at least as light and fluffy as Scandal ever gets.

Shit shit shit... one of my co-workers and good friends is in Nepal right now. I hope she and her family are okay.

Anne, I hope your friend is okay.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh dear, Anne, I hope she's all right. So fucking scary.

I hope you hear from her soon, Anne.

In hindsight, deciding to just update the OS real quick before I went to bed was not smart. I should have been able to realize that at the time. Otoh, is it ever a good time to update the OS?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Ugh msbelle, that's a lot of WTH to deal with. We've put off Isaac's birthday party AS USUAL because I can't deal with end of semester and a party all at once. But will do a family celebration of some sort tomorrow.

7.8 earthquake hit Kathmandu

Can't process that right now. Yipes!

As for Folly, I wish I could say she's doing better but she's really not. She threw up blood last night, which scared the behootsies out of me. But I am loathe to take her to an emergency vet clinic if this is just a really bad reaction to the sedation she got yesterday because I am worried one more big stress will kill her. And the other possibility is a heart attack, but even then the emergency vet seems like a scary place. The vet yesterday kind of implied the kindest thing to do was take her home and make her comfy, so that's what we are doing. He gave her a beta blocker, so I gave her that this morning. She's drinking still, and she's curled next to me right now.

We are kind of mad at the vet for not warning us about possibilities like throwing up blood. He did, in fairness, suggest to us that a heart attack was imminent, but he didn't warn us what that might look like.
